JDE Peet’s delists from the exchange

1 April 2026

Following an announcement in late summer 2025, JDE Peet’s, which has been listed on Beursplein 5 since 2020, is leaving the Amsterdam Exchange today. The US company Keurig Dr Pepper, known for its 7Up soft drink, is acquiring the parent company of Douwe Egberts for nearly €16 billion. Following the takeover, the plan is to split Keurig Dr Pepper into a coffee group and a soft drinks group, both of which, like the current group, will be listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

Reactions to the takeover and JDE Peet’s departure from Beursplein 5 have been mixed. Some experts consider the takeover logical, as the new coffee group, in particular, is thought to have significant growth potential. Others are less positive and see yet another strong Dutch company leaving the country in rapid succession, following the departure of Aegon. It should be noted, however, that all non-US coffee operations will, at least for the time being, continue to be managed from the Netherlands.
