NPEX moves to Amsterdam

Six months after the NPEX (Dutch Participation Exchange) helped its 100th Dutch company raise working capital, the SME exchange is moving from The Hague to Amsterdam today. This means NPEX is all but returning to the capital. It emerged as an alternative exchange in 2009 from the over-the-counter market that had essentially existed – outside the responsibility of the Amsterdam Stock Exchange – on Beursplein 5 until 1997 and that was maintained by a few commissioners and banks. The new location on the capital’s Herengracht seemed to work wonders straight away.
